The newest upcoming metal sensation from the Netherlands. Renowned for their energetic and tight live performance Blind Sight is a band that knows how to convince their audience every time they set foot on the stage. Bringing a style consisting of modern thrash metal with lots of melodic influences combined with a touch of hardcore the band proves that the Netherlands is a serious player on the international metal market.
After signing a record deal early 2006 with record label Gang Style Records (GSR), known for bands like Born from Pain and Madball, the band has been on a roll with the worldwide release of their debute full-length album “The Tenderstrike Salvation”. The album was extremely well received with nothing other than positive reviews by the national as well as the international press. Dutch leading metal magazine 'Aardschok' about the Tenderstrike Salvation; “One of the most fresh and original metal records released this year”. Beginning 2007 Blind Sight released a music video for the song 'My Demise' taken from the album "The Tenderstrike Salvation" which got regular airplay on MTV's RockZone, not to mention over 10.000 views on Youtube.
After their succesfull first release Blind Sight has stormed the stages all across Europe playing with numerous succesfull international acts. One of the highlights is the legendary sold-out, 6000 people counting, show at the Heineken Music Hall together with Slayer, Trivium and Mastodon as part of The Unholy Alliance tour at the end of 2008. Besides Slayer, Blind Sight has had the privilege to share stages with bands as Machine Head, Avenged Sevenfold, Hatebreed, Pro-Pain, The Black Dahlia Murder, Agnostic Front, Madball, Darkest Hour and Caliban in countries like the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Switzerland, the UK and Germany. April 2009 the band got the unique opportunity to tour China as the first Dutch metal representative ever. Playing their last date of the tour as headliner at the 20.000 people counting MIDI-Festival near Shanghai.
Friday the 12th of June Blind Sight could be seen at the 10.000 people counting festival WALDROCK together with bands like Heaven and Hell (Black Sabbath), Killswitch Engage, Motorhead, Trivium, Papa Roach, Dragonforce, Napalm Death, Carcass and many more.
At the moment Blind Sight is in the studio with producer Tommie Bonajo recording their second upcoming album 'March of the Clowns', planned for release early 2010. So keep your eyes and ears open!
